The Blackwall Tunnels are a pair of road tunnels underneath the River Thames in east London. The Southbound tunnel was refurbished in 2002. However the Wayfinding escape signage was not compliant with European Standards in 2011. Roomfoss Control Systems completed several site surveys and developed bespoke LED Wayfinding signage that could be installed onto the existing Stainless Steel Emergency Panels within the Tunnel. Our scope of works included the design / testing and installation of these signs.
